Fight your way through a zombie outbreak protecting the world from a possible alien invasion. One Epic game will have you running through a never ending world, shooting zombies and jumping obstacles.

If you have ever played Monster Dash then One Epic Game will look and feel very similar. It’s the same infinite runner where you basically run along, weapon in hand seeing how far you can get whilst shooting your enemy.

If you have a Last.fm account their official app is great for listening to the different available radios and checking out what your friends are also listening to. It does however have one much needed feature missing. The ability to scrobble your recently played songs direct from your iPhone. CloudScrob lets you do just that.

Now that we can sync and back up via iCloud without the need to connect to a mac or laptop this feature is needed more than before. CloudScrob will update your Last.fm play list every time you launch it. It scans your library to see what has been played and then sends the list to your profile.

Hank Hazard is the new stunt hamster on the block. Confined in his little hamster ball, guide him through the different courses collecting the stars and coins along the way.

This great arcade puzzle game will have you challenged through the 90 levels available. Each one needing precise timing and a little bit of thought and planning ahead. If you have ever played games like Angry Birds or Cut the Rope then Hank Hazard will probably be a game you will enjoy.

The aim of each level is to guide Hank from one area of the screen to the end target, which is obviously easier said then done. In Hanks way will be blocks or flames, in fact all different obstacles to make it harder for you. To start moving tap the blocks which will smash and clear off the screen. You have to clear these blocks to your advantage to steer Hank in the direction of the target area. Obviously because he is in a ball he’s going to roll so watch out!

Your football (soccer) team is playing, you are out at the supermarket with the family and desperate to know the scores… Yes, there are many apps, some even send you notifications but probably the quickest way is to access LiveScore.

LiveScore.com website has been running since 1998 but they have been providing a free iPhone app for the last year and a half. The app is very clean, shows you all the games for the day and those playing live right now with of course live scores.

The scores can be refreshed as often as 30 seconds to 180 seconds or you can manually force an update if you get impatient or nervous hoping for the final whistle to arrive.

The concept of this game is simple…Flick the ball that is thrown (pitched) at you with your finger and make a home run. Sound simple?

Well, as with other ‘flick’ based games, the controls of this baseball style game are simple but getting the timing and accuracy right is crucial to determine if that home run is even remotely likely.

The further you hit the ball, the more points you get, extra points are rewarded for popping balloons in the sky and even bouncing off cars and houses if you manage the home run.

BluePrint 3D is a great, unique puzzle game. With over 270 levels to work your way through this motion puzzle game will keep you busy playing for hours.

When you first begin a level, you will be greeted with a mixed up blueprint picture. The idea is you figure out what this image is and match up all the lines and dots until you have the completed image in front of you.

To create the pattern you need to rotate the image with your fingers, I found two thumbs on either side of the screen worked better. Once you do this, if you are doing it the right way the image will start to show itself. Keep rotating until you solve the puzzle. When you do the screen will flash and the picture will be shown.

If you want a world clock, weather, alarm clock and the added beauty of a live 3D simulation of planet Earth then look no further than Living Earth HD.

Once you start the application you are presented with the globe that can be rotated by swiping horizontally. This allows you to see where the sunlight is appearing and where darkness has fallen and a recent live view of cloud cover.

A quick press in the bottom left hand corner determines your current location and gives you the location’s time and weather. Press the time at the top will list all your saved locations and clicking on the weather details at the bottom presents you with a 5 day forecast or view 2 hourly forecasts for next 24 hours.

Spotify has been providing an excellent alternative to traditional ways of buying individual albums with an impressive streaming service that allows you for £9.99 (UKP) a month to download whatever you want as long as you keep paying.

Spotify has it’s own very competent iPhone app for free but SpotON has just launched and one of the early third party apps which utilises Spotify’s CORE services to provide an alternative way to use your Spotify account and listen to music.

SpotON Radio’s aim is to allow you to search for artists from either your Spotify playlists, from SpotON’s Top 100 list or a general search and create stations of that artist and most crucially similar sounding artists utilising the recommendation engine at the EchoNest.

There are so many apps available now for the iPhone that many go unnoticed. Which is a shame, there are a lot of good ones out there, InstaFrManager is one of them. Now I know the name of the app is not the best. In fact it is quite a mouthful but if you can get past that it is a very useful app.

Instagram is a hugely popular social photo sharing app. Once you start posting and building up a following it is very hard to keep up with who you are following back and who is not following you. This is where InstafrManager can help you.
