Control a small army and battle your way through the enemy line with My Army. The enemy is occupying countries across the world and it is your job to wipe them all out and give back the countries their freedom.
Guide your little Army along the pathway leading to the enemy line. Watch out for traps they have set and incoming bullets and airstrikes. The controls are really easy, simply tilt your device left or right and they will move accordingly. Avoid the mines and barbed wire fences though, if you hit one of them they will kill one of your team. There is only four of you and once you are have all been killed the game is over. The idea is you must travel towards your enemy and see how far you can go.
As well as the obstacles there are shells and missiles that will be fired and aiming for you. To destroy these you tap on them and they will explode before they hit any of your team. Airstrikes may also occur and they just need swiping off screen.
When your army is progressing towards the enemy line they will fire at any enemies they approach. To ensure that you do not run out of ammo you need to collect ammo crates along the way. These are randomnly placed through out and some are dropped off by a passing plane. Just walk over them to colllect them.
When one of your soldiers is killed in action there is a chance to build your team back up again. Lookout for POWS, you can tell them apart by their little speech bubble appearing saying ‘help’. If you walk over them they will then join your squad. Great if you are down to a couple of men.
If you want to enlist Facebook friends to be in your team you just sign into your facbeook account within the app. Doing so can earn you more army points and improve ranking.
Army points are what you earn when you and your team are travelling. Each soldier is awarded points depending how far they travel. Their ranking will improve too and the higher the ranking the more points you are awarded. There are upgrades unlocked along the way which let you change the soldiers uniforms and also their vehicles.
To add more of a challenge to the game you are also set 3 objectives at a time. Complete these and you are awarded more points and then move on to the next objective. My Army also has Game Center integration. Although this does need enabling when you first start the app as it is not on by default. Once it is connected though you can then compete on the leader boards and unlock achievements.
My Army is fun to play with easy controls and yet still is a great challenging game.
